Shopee Continues to Lead the Top 10 Most Visited Websites Ranking with 108.6 Million Visits in August 2022. This e-commerce platform also ranks as number one in popularity on social media
This information was revealed in the September 2022 report on the e-commerce industry by the Network Monitoring and Information Analysis System (Reputa).
According to the updated data until August 2022 from this organization, Shopee tops the ranking with 108.6 million website visits, showing a 28% increase compared to the previous month's traffic.
In the second position is Thế Giới Di Động (thegioididong.com) with 63 million website visits in August 2022. This marks the highest web traffic for this e-commerce company since the beginning of 2022.
FPT Shop, a retail chain owned by FPT, ranks third in terms of website traffic with 37.9 million visits.
Lazada Vietnam, an e-commerce platform backed by Alibaba, achieved 26.6 million website visits in August 2022. This result marks the third consecutive month that Lazada has surpassed Điện Máy Xanh to secure the fourth position in the ranking.
The latter half of the website traffic ranking for the month still consists of familiar names, including Tiki (16.2 million visits), Bách Hóa Xanh (15.2 million visits), CellphoneS (14.3 million visits), Hoàng Hà Mobile (11 million visits), and Điện Máy Chợ Lớn (5.5 million visits).
Among them, Điện Máy Chợ Lớn has achieved its second consecutive month in the top 10 e-commerce websites with the highest traffic, surpassing Nguyễn Kim since July 2022.
In terms of popularity on social media in August 2022, Shopee ranked first with a score that was 2.8 times higher than the second position held by Lazada. Following them were thegioididong.com (27.41 points), Điện Máy Xanh (27.25 points), and Tiki (19.87 points).
The highlight of this month is Sendo's comeback to the list, securing the 8th position and pushing Media Mart out of the top 10 popular e-commerce platforms on social media.
Previously, in July 2022, the e-commerce platform Sendo surprised by dropping out of this top 10 list.
According to Reputa's data, in the recent month of August, the most talked-about and mentioned product categories on social media were beauty and health, as well as consumer goods and food. Additionally, the most mentioned products were refrigerators, followed by rice paper, washing machines, motorcycles, milk tea, laptops, and more.
According to experts' forecasts, in 2022, e-commerce will continue to grow and generate new consumer trends. By 2025, Vietnam's e-commerce market could reach 52 billion USD, making it the third-largest e-commerce market in the ASEAN region.
